How is your Monday going? Mine is going very good thank God.
I am not a Oscar person, I don’t even like some movies as you might know since I know you read my 50 things you didn’t know about me blog, but Coco is special we all loved Coco.
We went to the movies to see it for the first time for my youngest 6th birthday (thank God we bought the tickets online because it was packed). It was the six of us, Tio Titian (of course) and my children’s cousin. She is 6 months younger than my daughter.
When we got to the movie theater I was so skeptical about this movie, I mean a movie for children about dead people?! But the birthday boy picked the movie so I tried to educate myself about The Day of the Dead, the Mexican holiday before we went to see it.
I have to tell you the movie was interesting interesting since the beginning. I went in thinking that Coco was the little boy but it wasn’t. I don’t want to get into details about the movie just in case you didn’t see it but it is very good we gave them 16 thumbs up (all of us gave them 2 thumps up).
My two little ones, the cousin and I cried a lot. The other ones were too afraid to show it but I know really deep inside they were crying too.
I took the little ones one more time (and we cried again) and when the DVD was out I bought it. My Little ones know all the songs, they truly love it!
So we were so excited when we found out that the movie won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. They deserved it, not only was an amazing movie but we did learn so much about the Mexican Culture and it is beautiful.
I hope you have a very blessed and productive week!
